Eko-Aims E-BSS
A Shooting System for the Visually Impaired
Eko-Aims E-BSS shooting system is designed and built for visually impaired biathlon based on their needs. The same system is used for both practice and competitions. The system is officially approved by the IPC (International Paralympic Committee) and it is used, for example, in World Cup competitions, in Paralympics, and naturally, in heavy training. Hearing enacts as a sight in this shooting. The system is also used by many associations for the visually impaired and other parties already in several countries.Since the Salt Lake City Paralympics in 2002, the E-BSS system has been used in all World Championships and World Cup competitions for the visually impaired. In the latest Paralympics, the Eko-Aims E-BSS system was used for the visually impaired biathlon shooting.
The Eko-Aims E-BSS system has also been used in the visually impaired biathlon shooting in the IPC Biathlon World Championships in Vuokatti 2009.

Biathlon Target "E-BSS"
E-BSS biathlon target enables biathlon-like practicing for the visually impaired. Shooting takes place in appointed order from left to right. The target will show a hit with green light and a miss with red light to coach, assistant and audience. The target is available either mains or battery operated. A rechargeable biathlon target makes it possible to use the whole equipment without mains current for several hours.

Shooting Stand "E-BSS"
The shooting stand designed for the Eko-aims E-BSS rifle is similar to the one used in competitions. The top of the stand is made of weather and frost proof plastic and the feet are made of steel. Between shootings in practice and in competitions the rifle is resting in the slot of the stand. Thus the rifle will remain clean and ready in the right, familiar position for the next shooting.
Additional Headphones
Eko-Aims additional headphones are meant for assistants or coaches who are then able to follow-up the shooting and to react correctly in each situation.
Shooting Mat
The material and the size of the shooting mat are similar to the ones used in normal biathlon. The mat is weatherproof and durable. Measurements: 200 x 150 x 1.5 cm
Rifle Cover "E-BSS"
When the rifle is on the shooting stand, it can be protected from the weather with our rifle cover. The rifle cover is quick to put on and take off in training. The cover is not designed for transportation.
The use of rifle cover is beneficial to the rifle.
